For this week’s blog post, I would like to review some of the opinions and critiques I have about the course. First of all, there were many new topics for me in terms of organizations. Among all, transaction cost, which was one of the first few topics introduced left a deep impression on me. It is not my first time learning the concept, but I was able to understand the true meaning and how it applies to nearly every task that I complete, which was nice. I also liked the discussion of incentives and punishment in work setting a lot, such as how incentives can drive an employee to work more efficiently and how punishment can discourage employees and hinder the particular employee’s growth. I was also impressed how much Professor Arvan put into the course. Professor Arvan offered me an office hour via phone over the weekend and I see how much work is needed to put together the excel assignments. Then the manager of the team would have a meeting with the department head with all other managers in the company. I learned f

Conflict

Complete peacefulness is what I have always acquired, hoping not to see any turbulence that disturb my life. Fortunately, through my parents I have developed a skill as to how to politely address my point of view while objecting another person’s and how to gain respect others in schools and in social settings. I was definitely not liked by everyone, but I am certain that not that many people hated me at the same time, or at least they did not care, which is something I am thankful for. I have always been the type of person who cares a lot about how others think about me, so I always do act accordingly and try to read the atmosphere of the room. I am also confident that I do not usually offend others with my words or actions both consciously and unconsciously. I still hav
